About us
A society built on service, not politics or profit
Smile Odisha was established on 10 November 2012 and registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860, bearing registration number 23531/67 of 2013–2014. It is a non-political, non-profit-making, secular organisation working across the state of Odisha.
What began as a small group of committed volunteers has since grown into work that touches close to 65 villages across Odisha — sanitation drives, health camps, environmental awareness, women's empowerment and drinking-water relief among them.

Programmes on the ground
Bindu Sagar Cleanliness Drive
Sanitation · BhubaneswarVolunteers turning out to clean the banks of Bindu Sagar, the sacred tank in Bhubaneswar's Old Town, as part of the society's ongoing sanitation work.
Environmental Awareness Programme
Environment · 2015Named for the sacred Nilachakra, awareness camps carried out in 2015 to engage local communities on environmental care and upkeep of public spaces.
Health Camps
Public healthFree health check-up camps, along with monthly Ayurvedic & Unani camps and weekly Homeopathy camps, bringing basic medical attention and free medicines closer to communities that need them.
Jalachhatra — Free Drinking Water Relief
Summer reliefIn keeping with Odisha's traditional jalachhatra practice, roadside stalls set up to provide free drinking water to the public through the peak summer months.
Women's Empowerment
Khurda & BhubaneswarAwareness camps on reproductive & child health, small-family norms, social justice for women, dowry prevention, self-employment and girl-child education — including the Nari Ahwana Samabesha (Women's Call Assembly), organised by Smile Odisha.
Sanitation, Blood Donation & Plantation
Community welfareLatrine-use and cleanliness awareness across villages of Kakatpur and Khurda blocks, a mega blood donation camp at Bhubaneswar's municipal blood bank, and plantation drives with saplings of mango, neem and banyan distributed across Puri and Khurda districts.
